Who is Team Diva?
Kim V. Colaprete – The Original Diva + Member/Manager
In 1999, I said goodbye to my non-profit career and became a Realtor at Coldwell Banker Bain. What I brought with me was strong sense of community commitment and my excellent communication and negotiation skills. Working as a Realtor this past decade has shown me every aspect the Seattle market has to offer; from the dot-com busts, to the highs of the real estate boom and now to the tenacity of thriving in a changing market. Throughout each market the Diva Fan Club has grown and I count myself lucky to live in such a great city. I am proud to be able to say that I've had a great career thus far, am in the top of tier of my profession and am having the time of my life!
The spring before the market crash Chavi abandoned corporate life to join her long time partner Kim in the real estate world. Having to immediately tackle this new career in the drastically changing economy, Chavi focused her efforts on building connections with the larger community and creating a strong social media presence for the new partnership. In 2010 Chavi and her partner Kim formed Team Diva Parnters, LLC based at Coldwell Banker Bain in Seattle. Chavi social media prowess and market savvy was pivotal in helping to elevate Team Diva to new levels of success and recognition in the community. You can often catch Chavi throwing small dinner parties for 20 or so folks, shopping for local goodies or spending time with Rosie the Real Estate Pooch and her partner Kim!
Rocky's love of travel has taken him to many cities in this country, but he finally settled here because he fell in love, love, love with Seattle. Born in New Orleans, Rocky eventually made it over to the best coast, West Coast and has now lived here most of his life. After so much time here, he truly believes that Seattle is the best place in the country anyone could ever call home.
Over the years Rocky has been fortunate enough to have lived in almost ever nook and cranny of this diverse city. From West Seattle to the North-end, one of the things he will always appreciate most about residing here is the unique living experiences and characters that make up each neighborhood. He tries to make sure he experiences all that this city and each neighborhood has to offer by doing everything from taking in local theater, to playing soccer, and taking advantage of many various forms of outdoor recreation at our doorstep.
Rocky comes to Team Diva from a retail management background spanning almost twenty years. He has constantly felt that one purpose of his life is to make others happy, and with his background, he has mastered this skill. He loves being a part of any process that brings joy and fulfillment to the lives of the people around him. Given this, what better way to combine his love for the city and the people in it than a career in real-estate? He is super excited to be with Team Diva to fully realize this aspiration to help others with one of the biggest decisions, while working in the fun and family-like atmosphere that is Diva Land.
Roy is the Diva Rental Guru on the Diva Team. No one knows more about landlords, various apartment buildings, how to get into a fab Diva Dwelling when you are competing with other renters, or generally the best hot spots in town for art. Roy is very adept at getting the job done for many of our friends and peers. In Roy’s past he managed an apartment building in the U District. More recently, he is the super sleuth of good rental deals. In fact our recent Rental DYI blog post is based on Roy’s recent adventures finding himself a new apartment in Queen Anne. In Roy's free time he is one of Seattle's up and coming next generation of contemporary artitsts with shows all over the city.. Check out his site Screen Door Press and Roy Powell Art. For fun Roy sees a lot of local bands, drinks good beer, and knows a mean Old Fashion cocktail when he sees it. Roy also keeps the DivaHQ a-hummin’ with good videos and fine music.
Originally beginning his time as the summer "Him-tern" in 2011, Chris soon moved on to become a part of the team as the Diva Marketing & Communications Coordinator. After a study abroad trip to Argentina during the winter and spring of 2012 that stole him away, Chris couldn't stay away from the Team Diva lifestyle and began working with them again.
Studying Economics and International Studies at Seattle University, Chris is very interested in corporate social responsibility, community building, economic development and how all of these things can be gain momentum through social media. Whether is be through creating a give-back campaign or curating content for the Diva blog, Chris loves working with the imaginative, engaged, and energetic people that make up Team Diva Real Estate.
