The Home Buying Process
Buying a home can be an intimidating process for some, but it is also incredibly rewarding, especially in Seattle’s real estate market where beautiful and unique homes abound. Helping our clients find a home that complements their personality and lifestyle is one of our favorite things. With over a decade of experience, we are seasoned treasure hunters and negotiators, who know how to find Seattle’s hidden gems, use detailed analysis to determine true market value, and negotiate the best price possible for our clients.
We strive to always make the search process exciting and creative. As with most things, the key is proper planning. We help our clients consider what they truly want in a property, which creates that magic moment when a buyer walks into a house and knows right then and there that they have found their new home.
Here are some initial questions to consider when you are thinking about a new home:
Once buyers find the house that they want, Team Diva will guide them through the negotiation process to ensure a fair price is reached and through the home inspection to ensure the house is everything that the seller says it is. A home is a huge investment, but it’s also the place where some of life’s most important events happen. Team Diva believes that we not just selling houses but helping to build community. We want every client to have a home that helps them live and grow in a neighborhood they love.
Home Style: Do you like modern or mid-century? Tudors or bungalows? New construction or a touch of history? Bright & open homes or cozy & intimate?
Areas and Neighborhoods: What neighborhoods are you considering? Are you open to new hoods? Do you want quiet or convenient? Is a high walking score important or are you a home body anyway?
Size & Home Details: How many bedrooms/baths do you need? Yard or patio? Garage? Pool? (Don't laugh - you never know.) Do you need it move-in ready or is some sweat equity acceptable - or even desirable? Do you want a mountain, city or water view?
Price Range: Before you start searching, it is wise to work with a lender and determine the monthly payment and price range that works best for you. Need a recommendation?
